Down in southern Indiana, you’ll find the City of Columbus—also known as the Athens of the West. This city must seem unassuming at first glance, but Columbus is widely renowned as an architectural mecca.
Columbus boasts over 90 buildings and public artworks from international artists and architects, including seven national historic landmarks.
All of these buildings are amazing sites to see, but they’re also functional and practical. They’re churches and libraries, fire stations and post offices, schools, hospitals, and everything in between.
These buildings help bring joy and beauty into everyday lives, creating a community where people are enriched simply by being there.
