When you think about the “great outdoors,” Indiana is the place to be—with beautiful scenery and recreational activities for the outdoorsmen in everyone.

First off, Indiana is the most trail-friendly state in America. Our communities maintain thousands of miles of pathways to explore from the Cultural Trail in Indianapolis, to the winding paths of the Monon, and the sandy trails in the Dunes. This interconnected network of trails ensures that every resident has access to scenic spots for hiking, biking, and even horse riding.

If you’re feeling more adventurous, you can go sailing up at Lake Michigan; try mountain biking on the rugged trails of Brown County; or go flying through the treetops on Eagle Creek’s 300-foot zipline.

Perfect North Slopes offers snow skiing for amateurs and Olympians alike, while Holiday World combines towering roller coasters with high-speed water rides.

We also have over 400 golf courses across the state—and not just any old courses. We’re talking Pete Dye courses with some of the best views in America. Because in Indiana, there’s more to discover around every corner.
