Indiana has long been a state of patriots—home to countless proud Americans who know what it means to answer the call.
In fact, Indianapolis is second only to D.C. for the number of memorials and monuments dedicated to our veterans, serving as a constant reminder of their sacrifice and the reason we hold our hands over our hearts, saying:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands—one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
