Advancing Broadband Connectivity in Indiana

Since 2018, our state has invested over $500 million to expand broadband access in rural Indiana and provide reliable Internet service to our most underserved communities.

In our modern world, Internet access is just as vital as other resources like electricity, gas, or water. But Indiana is still about 83% farm and forest terrain, away from our cities’ core infrastructure.

If we want to expand that field—and expand opportunity in our state, then we have to make sure everyone has access to reliable, high-speed Internet service.

So, we’re bringing broadband right to the family farm. Indiana is investing hundreds of millions of dollars in improving broadband access in our rural communities, helping our schools, our hospitals, our businesses not just compete in today’s agricultural market—but also unlock future opportunities for all Hoosiers.
